Helllllllo, you party people! Monday is here again, which means it's another week to work on your health, your goals, and yourself in general! Did you take a few minutes to plan out your week last night and to write down some of your goals? If not, just take a few minutes right now. Pull out your phone and go to your note app, or grab a piece of paper. What do you want to work on this week? Do you want to park further away when you get to work to get more steps in? Do you want to try to run three times this week? Or, do you want to try to increase your water intake? Whatever it is, no matter how little, write it down and put it somewhere you'll see each day. Believe it or not, that little note can help you stay accountable throughout the week!
I hope you guys had a fun and relaxing weekend! The main event of the weekend for me was going to my cousin Kristina's Bridal Shower on Sunday with my mom and my sister, Alie.
But before we get to that, my weekend started off with dinner at Zoe's Kitchen. Have you been to this place? If not, RUN, do not walk to your nearest Zoe's location. This place is THE bomb.com if you're looking for a healthy option for lunch or dinner. The food they serve is Mediterranean style and on Friday I got the turkey stack which is sliced turkey, mozzarella, feta spread, lettuce, tomato, and rosemary oil on sourdough bread with roasted vegetables on the side. Guys, you need to go to Zoe's Kitchen. You just do, and once you go, you'll want to eat there, all day, everyday.
On Saturday my mom and I went out to run some errands and then I saw the Star Trek movie that's out right now with my dad. Like I said earlier, Sunday was the busiest day of the weekend, with my cousin Kristina's Bridal Shower taking up most of the day.
They served champagne with cotton candy on top (to push into your champagne to turn it pink), which was very cute! There was also some Bridal Shower bingo during the gift opening, and succulents to take home. Anyone else love succulents as much as I do?!
It's almost dinner time on Sunday now, and I'll be spending the rest of the night making dinner, working on the blog a bit, and testing out some recipes! Before I go though, I want to leave you with an interval workout that you can try this week. I designed this workout so you can do it outside, at home, and without any equipment. I think that while the weather is nice, you might as well take advantage of it and workout outside, ya know? Remember to always consult with a medical profession before trying a workout, and please remember that I am not a certified personal trainer. I did teach several group fitness classes during my graduate program, and I am using that experience to share workouts that I have used during that time that have worked for me and my past students. Below you'll find a 30 minute workout that will work your entire body and will leave you feeling sweaty and accomplished!
