Holiday Gift Guide: Gilmore Girls Edition

Hey, friends! I'm dropping by tonight with my second gift guide of the holiday season. This gift guide is perfect for your friends who are currently obsessing over the Gilmore Girls revival. I'm late hopping onto the Gilmore Girls train (I'm only on season 4 currently) so I won't be done in time for the revival, but I'm loving the show so far! Let's be real, love is probably an understatement. IT'S THE BEST SHOW EVER (besides Parenthood which I'm totally procrastinating on finishing the last season because I don't want it to ever, ever end). I know, I'm being a tad bit dramatic, oops!

Anyways, I hope that this gift guide helps you pick out a gift for your friend that loves Gilmore Girls, or maybe you'll find something you want to add to your wish list :)

  1. Talking As Fast As I Can by Lauren Graham (AKA Lorelai Gilmore): This book is a collection of personal essays about Lauren's time filming the revival of Gilmore Girls, her journey through her career, navigating Hollywood, and so much more. This is at the very tip top of my Christmas list, and I think any Gilmore Girls fan would love this as a gift! You can preorder it now on Amazon, the actual release date is the 29th of this month.
  2. I'd Rather Be Watching Gilmore Girls Sweatshirt: The perfect cozy gift to cuddle up in during a Gilmore Girls marathon. No girl would turn down this cute sweatshirt!
  3. Luke's Diner Mug: The classic choice, a Luke's diner mug. I think every Gilmore Girls fan needs one of these to drink coffee out of...like a Gilmore, of course ;P
  4. Oy With The Poodles Print: If you watch the show, you know this line. I think this would be such a fun gift for a friend's office. How cute would it be within one of those gallery walls?!
  5. GG Pencils: The perfect stocking stuffer! These pencils are so adorable. The pink pencil says "I love you like..." and then the white pencils say things like "Lorelai loves coffee," "Rory loves to read" etc. So fun, right?!
  6. Stars Hollow Candle: For the candle lover in your life who's also a Gilmore Girls groupie, I've found you the perfect gift! This candle has notes of maple leaves, apples, toasted marshmallows, and fall spices. It'll transport you right to Stars Hollow.
  7. Where You Lead Bracelet: I'm kinda-sorta obsessed with this bracelet. How cute would it be to get one for you, your sister, and mom, or you and one of your best friends? There's different variations of this bracelet on Etsy, but this is my favorite one!

Alright, friends, I hope that this gift guide helped you find some cute gifts for the holiday season! Anyone else out there frantically trying to binge watch Gilmore Girls to catch up before the revival?!

Happy Shopping!

Friday Favorites #15

Happy Friday, friends! I hope you have some fun things lined up for the weekend, with some relaxation time, too. This weekend is my dad's birthday weekend, so we'll be having a family dinner on Sunday. I'm in charge of making his birthday cake so I'll be spending a good portion of the day on Saturday baking up a storm in the kitchen, and then attempting to be a good cake decorator. Anyone out there have any tips for decorating a cake? I always dream up this picture of the most beautifully iced cake and well...it doesn't turn out that way haha. Stay tuned on Instagram stories (username: joyfullyjenna) to see how the cake decorating goes! Let's hope it's not a total fail ;P

Before we all head out for the weekend, I'm stopping by with my usual Friday favorites post! I'm rounding up the things that I've been loving this week, or things that have just made me smile. Let's jump right in!

1. The Cake by Hannah

The Cake by Hannah is by far one of my favorite bloggers. I love her posts because they're so real and honest, and I think most people can relate to them. One of my favorite posts of hers is one where she talks about struggling with the change of growing up, which really resonates with me in my life as I'm figuring out what my career will be. Anyone else relate? Well, Hannah just totally revamped her blog this week and she added The Cake Shop. These t-shirts are quite possibly (definitely) my new favorite thing. I mean...Cake, Wine, & Gilmore Time? Say no more. As someone who just started watching Gilmore Girls this past summer (I'm almost to season 4) and LOVES it - this t-shirt is perfect.

2. Vanilla Almond Sugar Cookie Recipe

Sorry, friends, but this cookie recipe is too good not to show up in my weekly favorites. If you missed the recipe, you can click here to get it! Like I said in my blog post, this sugar cookie recipe is hands down the best one I've ever made. They're not overly sweet and have just a hint of vanilla and almond flavor. Yum!

3. Trader Joe's Mandarin Oranges

Okay, super random, but these mandarin oranges from Trader Joe's are so, so good. You know how sometimes you pick up a bag of these and they're all tart and no sweet? Not these gems. They're so sweet and so good. One or two of these are the perfect midday pick-me-up snack! Grab some this weekend on your weekly grocery run :)

Alright, friends, that's all I have for this week! I'd love to hear what's been making you smile this week - let me know in the comments!

Happy Weekend!
