Fill In The Blanks Survey

Good morning, friends! I hope your Wednesday is off to a wonderful start. It's been such nice weather here the past few days. It's not too hot, and it's not too cold - just the perfect Fall weather. It makes me happy. It's the simple things, right?

I wanted to stop by today with a "Fill in The Blanks" survey. One of my goals for my blog is for you all to feel like you're catching up with a friend when you visit, and I hope that sharing some fun facts will help you feel that way! If you're new to the blog or if you've been reading since the beginning, I'd love to hear from you in the comments. I want to get to know you guys, too!

The weirdest thing I ever ate was durian.

During my senior year of college, I studied in Hawaii for a month during winter break. I went with the dietetics program, so a lot of what we did on the trip had to do with food - not too shabby, right? Most of the food that we got to try was delicious, but durian has to be one of the strangest looking fruits I've seen and tasted. Seriously, just Google image it and you'll see what I mean. Our Professor had us all try durian smoothies, and not only does the fruit look weird, but it tastes even stranger. When I was just looking it up on Google, several articles even noted how the smell of durian will be one you can't forget...because it smells that bad. Enough said. Shout out to any of my Hawaii friends reading this and I hope you've forgotten how durian tastes by now ;P

The movie of my life would star Amanda Seyfried.

I picked her because honestly, this is the only actress that people have told me I look like haha. Especially when Mamma Mia came out!

My go to food indulgence is chips and guacamole.

I could eat chips and guacamole all day long. Anyone else have the same love for it as I do? Just typing this is making me want some! Brownies is a super close second though. This girl has a major sweet-tooth!

The last concert that I saw live was Billy Joel.

I saw Billy Joel with my sister and my friend Meg this past summer, and loved it! I'm really an old soul when it comes to music and I gravitate towards artists like Billy Joel, Frank Sinatra, etc. #grandmastatus

My favorite jeans are my Paige Verdugo Skinny Jeans.

These jeans are definitely more on the expensive side, but they're so worth it. I got my first pair my sophomore year of college, and I've tried more inexpensive pairs since then but they're just not the same. Paige jeans are so comfortable, actually fit you if you have some curves, and don't lose their shape. Try a pair on the next time you go to Nordstrom, but only if you're prepared to leave the store with them. They're that awesome!

My can't-live-without beauty product is my Benefit They're Real! Mascara.

My beauty routine has changed over the past few years, but this is one product that's stayed the same. It makes your lashes longer and thicker, without clumping or looking too overdone.

Alright friends, now it's your turn! Answer the questions below in the comment section:

Five Friday Facts

Happy, happy Friday, friends! Another week has come and gone, here we are at the weekend again :)

I have a busy weekend with my cousin's wedding tonight and then my good friend Lisa's engagement party tomorrow night. It should be a fun-filled weekend, and I hope that your weekend is fun too!

I thought I would switch up Friday favorites this week and share five facts with you that you may or may not know about me. I got this idea from another blogger, Hannah, over at The Cake by Hannah who did this last week! Hannah is such a talented writer and I absolutely love reading her blog posts. If you're looking for another blog to subscribe to, I would definitely recommend Hannah's blog! Speaking of subscribing, if you're new to Joyfully Jenna - welcome and I'm so glad that you're here! If you want to be notified whenever a new blog post goes up and have the convenience of reading it right in your email, enter your email in the subscription box on the right side of the screen. If you're on a mobile device, it'll be located at the bottom.

Alright, friends, let's get right into it!

1. My high school superlative was...

My high school superlative was "Most Likely to Own Every OPI Nail Polish Ever Created". I'm pretty obsessed with nail polish, but probably (definitely) not as much as I was in high school. I remember going on a school trip senior year and I thought I'd bring all of my nail polish if some other girls wanted to use it one night while we were hanging out. Well, before I left for the trip I literally wrote down every single color I owned (I brought ALL of it on the trip - I'm talking like at least a shoebox full of OPI and Essie colors - not a cheap habit, my friends haha) so that if girls wanted to use them they could "check" the nail polishes out and I would make note of it so I wouldn't lose any of my precious polishes. Thinking I'm crazy yet? Because I honestly can't believe I was that serious about my nail polishes haha.

2. I went to an all girls high school.

Speaking of high school, I attended an all girls school. You're probably thinking that it was lame and boring, but it was actually quite the opposite. Imagine not having to care what you looked like in high school every single day. Pretty awesome if ya ask me! Also, it was pretty much just like hanging out with your sisters all day long. You got to be as silly and goofy as you wanted, and there were no boys for girls to get in fights about. I also think that going to an all girls school made me a stronger and more independent woman which made me more confident to be a leader and just more confident in general! Thank ya, thank ya, Ursuline.

3. I'm a very sentimental person.

I'm totally that person who can't throw anything away that I associate even a tiny bit of meaning with. I have about five to six memory boxes in my closet just full of things from over the years...excessive, I know. Also, I'm pretty sure I cried when my parents sold our first, it's safe to say that I get pretty attached to things.

4. I'm kind of a nerd when it comes to...

Video games. Yep, I'm that girl who actually really likes to play video games. My dad recently bought the new PS4 for us and I'm pretty obsessed with it. I've always liked playing video games though - we had the original Play Station when I was little, my sister and I each had gameboys, and as soon as the Wii came out we got one. Anyone else a nerd like me when it comes to video games?

5. I'm very much an introvert.

It's true! I'm totally not an extrovert. For me, like Hannah over at The Cake, I need alone time to recharge my batteries. Don't get me wrong, I love hanging out with my friends, going out for drinks, and meeting new people. BUT I'm also perfectly content staying in on a Friday night and watching a movie with my family or some friends (grandma alert). I'd also much rather hang out in a small group of people than a large group, it's just what I'm most comfortable with!

I hope that these facts made you feel like you know me a little bit better, and that they didn't make you think i'm too nutty ;P Maybe I'll do another "Five Friday Facts" post soon so you can get to know my quirky self a little bit more. If any other bloggers out there want to do a link-up for something like this, let me know!

Thank you guys so much for reading this post! I'm so glad that you stopped by :)

Question of the Day: What's a quirky fact about you?

Happy weekend!
